Deakin University's Warrnambool Campus commissioned a series of authentic storytelling videos to foster deeper connections with both the local community and the broader South-West Victorian region.

Erin Keegan - Rural Training Stream.

Deakin University is advancing the health and wellbeing of rural Western Victoria with the Doctor of Medicine - Rural Training Stream. Allowing students to complete their degree through a blend of online and face-to-face learning based in Ararat or Warrnambool. RTS students graduate with the skills and qualities needed to thrive in the medical profession while being able to stay in their local communities.

Will King - Faculty of Arts and Education.

Short video on Will King's journey as an educator, researcher and passionate First Nations advocate. Connection to culture and community is vital. Will gives an insight into the difference educators can have in their local regional communities and his meaningful relationship with a local First Nation elder and the importance of integrating Indigenous history into education.

We are thrilled to share Della Nelson Hill's story as she describes how her experiences growing up in Warrnambool left a deep impression and became the foundation for her motivation to continue to study at our campus. Della's path to university, and her passion for studying marine science, have manifested into career opportunities way beyond her expectations.
